Most online tools estimate value using broad averages. That’s useful for planning, but it can’t evaluate the evidence an insurer in California will focus on, such as:
- Whether liability is disputed (for example, claims of unsafe lane position, speeding, or failure to yield)
- Whether your treatment matches the crash timeline
- Whether gaps in care create doubt about causation
- Whether your symptoms are documented with objective findings
In other words, a calculator may produce a range, but the real settlement outcome depends on what your records can prove.
