Most calculators estimate settlement value by taking inputs like injury severity, treatment duration, and lost wages. That can be useful if you’re trying to sanity-check an insurer’s first offer.
But California motorcycle cases are highly evidence-driven. Insurers look closely at:
- Whether the other driver actually saw the motorcycle (visibility, glare, lane position)
- How quickly you sought treatment and whether early records match later complaints
- What the police report says compared to witness statements and photos/video
- Whether fault is contested (including arguments about lane splitting and rider conduct)
A “quick number” tool can’t review your medical chart, imaging, or documentation quality. In practice, those details often matter more than average formulas.
