Many calculators present a single range as if every claim follows the same playbook. In practice, that’s rarely true.
In East Tennessee medical settings—clinics, hospitals, urgent care, imaging centers, and surgical facilities—cases often turn on questions like:
- Whether the provider’s decision matched the accepted standard of care for the specific situation
- Whether documentation supports what was decided and when
- Whether causation is clear (that the negligence—not the underlying condition—caused the harm)
- Whether future treatment is medically necessary and provable
A “settlement calculator” can’t read the chart, interpret the timeline, or evaluate medical causation. That’s where real case value is built.
