In many cases, online calculators create the impression that settlements come from a single formula. In reality, settlements are shaped by evidence and risk—things that can’t be captured accurately by a few inputs.
For Cayce patients, a common pattern we see is that the facts become complicated quickly:
- Ongoing treatment after the incident (sometimes across multiple providers)
- Delayed symptoms that show up after discharge or follow-up
- Records that are spread across clinics, hospitals, labs, and imaging centers
- Disputes about whether later care was necessary or whether it was caused by the original problem
That’s why an estimate should be treated as planning context, not a prediction.
