Online tools usually ask for a few inputs—like treatment costs, diagnosis category, or injury severity—and then generate a rough range. Those tools cannot review:
- your medical chart and imaging history,
- whether the provider deviated from the accepted standard of care,
- how causation is supported by medical experts,
- or whether New Jersey’s procedural requirements are met.
In Fort Lee, many people are also dealing with layered care—primary care, specialists, urgent care visits, and follow-ups that may occur across different facilities. A calculator can’t sort out which treatments were connected to the alleged negligence and which were part of an unrelated condition.
