Most calculators are built for generic injuries and generic facts. But in real Louisiana cases, the amount at stake is usually driven by things a calculator can’t see, such as:
- Whether your injury was documented accurately (and whether the timeline makes sense)
- Whether follow-up care was appropriate or whether problems were missed or delayed
- Whether experts can connect the alleged error to the harm—especially when symptoms develop later
- How your medical bills relate to the negligence (not every charge is compensable)
In other words: an online estimate may give you a starting range, but it can’t evaluate the quality of the evidence that insurers and courts focus on.
