Most calculators ask you to estimate things like medical costs, the severity of symptoms, or the length of recovery. That can be a helpful starting point, but it often misses the parts that Kentucky courts and insurers focus on:
- Whether the provider breached the standard of care (what a reasonably competent provider would have done under similar circumstances)
- Whether that breach caused your specific injury (causation is frequently the real dispute)
- How damages are documented—not just that you were hurt, but what the records show about permanence, prognosis, and treatment needs
In practice, two people can enter the same “category” online and end up with very different outcomes depending on medical records, expert review, and the credibility of timelines.
