Most medical malpractice settlement calculators generate a rough range based on broad assumptions such as injury severity, treatment duration, and whether damages appear “economic” or “non-economic.” In practice, those tools can be helpful as a starting point—but they can’t review the medical chart that matters most to your claim.
A calculator also can’t fully account for the way Georgia malpractice cases are evaluated, including:
- Whether the provider deviated from the standard of care
- Whether that deviation caused your harm (not just coincided with it)
- Whether the harm was foreseeable and documented clearly enough for negotiation
- Whether experts are likely to support your theory
If you’ve been injured in a fast-moving situation—like an ER visit, an outpatient surgery, or follow-up care while you’re coordinating schedules—small documentation gaps can have outsized impact on settlement leverage.
