Many online tools promise a number based on broad categories—like injury severity, hospital involvement, or total medical bills. In practice, those inputs rarely capture what matters most in Florida malpractice negotiations:
- Whether the provider breached the standard of care (what a reasonably careful provider would have done)
- Whether that breach caused your specific injury (causation is often the deciding factor)
- How long harm is expected to last (especially when treatment continues after the incident)
A calculator may help you ask better questions, but it can’t review your chart, identify gaps, or evaluate expert opinions.
