Charleston is home to tight-knit neighborhoods and a lot of everyday foot traffic—people walking between home, schools, parks, and local businesses. That can make dog bite incidents happen fast and be witnessed (or disputed) just as quickly.
In many claims, the earliest hours after the bite determine what insurance later calls “the facts.” If you waited days to seek medical care, didn’t keep photos taken soon after the injury, or didn’t document where the bite occurred (yard, sidewalk, parking area, employer property, etc.), the other side may argue the injury wasn’t as serious—or wasn’t caused by the bite.
The sooner you act, the easier it is to build a clear timeline.
