A calculator can’t see the facts that insurers focus on. In Hollywood, claims often hinge on whether:
- The bite was witnessed (or captured by nearby cameras at apartment complexes or retail areas)
- Medical records clearly link the injury to the incident timeline
- The dog was restrained or controlled in a setting where pedestrians and visitors are expected
- Liability arguments shift quickly—especially when the owner says the bite was “provoked” or the victim “entered the wrong area”
When the evidence is thin, insurers tend to offer less. When documentation is strong, negotiations often move faster.
