In the Inland Empire, dog bite cases frequently involve disputes about what happened right before the bite—whether the dog was restrained, whether the injured person approached too closely, or whether warnings were present.
That’s why your evidence matters as much as your medical care. Insurance adjusters commonly focus on:
- Consistency between what you reported at the time and what your medical records later describe
- Photo timing (photos taken days later can be argued as less reflective of the original wound)
- Treatment details (stitches, imaging, follow-up visits, and any signs of infection)
- Witness availability (neighbors, bystanders, or people who saw the incident near a sidewalk, driveway, or apartment/common-area setting)
A calculator can’t measure these factors. But building a clean record can.
