Online tools can be useful for estimating categories of losses—medical bills, lost income, and non-economic harm like pain and suffering. But they can’t account for the facts that matter most in Imperial cases, such as:
- Whether the bite happened in a residential setting with frequent visitors (delivery drivers, family guests, contractors)
- Whether the dog was leashed/controlled or had a chance to approach people outside the home
- How quickly you received treatment and how clearly your injuries were documented
- Whether there’s video or witness testimony from neighbors or passersby
Because of that, two people with similar wounds can see very different results once the insurer reviews liability and causation.
