Chemical exposure claims in the East Bay commonly involve:
- Construction and renovation sites (including solvent fumes, adhesives, sealants, and dust associated with hazardous materials)
- Property management and tenant turnover (cleaning chemicals, pesticide/herbicide applications, and remediation work)
- Emergency cleanup and spill response where materials are handled improperly or without adequate ventilation
- Home-based chemical products used in ways that weren’t properly labeled, trained, or supervised (especially when multiple people are present)
The practical problem is that these events don’t always look like “industrial accidents.” They can start as irritation—burning eyes, coughing, headaches, skin problems—then evolve into longer-term health effects.
