Many chemical exposure cases in the East Bay aren’t “big factory disaster” stories. They’re often tied to:
- Remediation and cleanup work (mold treatment, odor control, spill response, solvent use)
- Construction and maintenance tasks on commercial or multi-unit properties
- Product misuse or inadequate labeling during home or small-business projects
- Improper ventilation in garages, basements, storage areas, and other enclosed spaces
- Worksite safety gaps when contractors change, staffing is tight, or training is rushed
In these situations, the people who caused the exposure may be more than one entity: the contractor who performed the job, the property owner or manager who controlled the site, and sometimes a product supplier or manufacturer if warnings were inadequate.
