- The burn mechanism matches the medical findings. (Hot liquid vs. contact burn vs. chemical exposure vs. electrical injury.)
- Treatment progression is documented. Burns can worsen or become clearer over time, especially in the first days.
- Liability evidence is preserved quickly. Photos of heaters, cookware, workplace equipment, or a hazardous condition can matter as much as the initial ER visit.
