Most online tools give rough ranges, but they can’t account for details that are especially important in real injury claims—like:
- Whether your burn occurred alongside smoke exposure (common in residential fire incidents)
- Whether the injury affected hands, face, or joints, which can change function and daily living
- Whether you’re dealing with delayed complications (infection risk, nerve pain, breathing symptoms)
- The difference between treatment that ended quickly versus treatment that required months of wound care or scar management
- Whether the responsible party in your situation documented safety properly (training logs, maintenance records, inspections)
A “calculator” may be a starting point for curiosity—but it can’t replace the evidence review that insurers and lawyers use to evaluate damages.
