Online tools often estimate value using broad assumptions like “severity” or “average treatment costs.” Burn injuries don’t behave that way. In real claims, insurers and adjusters focus on:
- How quickly you were treated and what the records show about depth/extent
- Whether you needed burn-center level care, skin grafting, or extended wound management
- Functional impact (hands, face, joints) and whether you can return to your prior job duties
- Whether there’s evidence of inhalation injury, infection risk, or long-term scar management
If your case involves complications or ongoing limitations, a generic calculator can understate the likely value. If your burns healed quickly with minimal aftercare, it can overstate it.
