AI tools can be useful as a starting point because they prompt you to think about losses—medical bills, funeral costs, and income impacts. However, fatal cases often turn on details that an online calculator can’t properly weigh.
For example, after a serious roadway incident, insurers may focus on:
- What witnesses actually saw (and whether statements match)
- How quickly emergency care was provided
- Traffic conditions and driving behavior at the time of the collision
- Whether evidence supports causation—not just that a death occurred
An AI estimate can’t evaluate those elements. That means it may look precise while being fundamentally incomplete.
