AI tools typically work by taking the facts you type in and applying generic assumptions. That’s not the same as what insurers and juries evaluate.
In Texas, the biggest drivers of settlement value usually aren’t “average outcomes”—they’re the evidence that shows:
- Who was responsible and why their conduct legally caused the death
- What damages are provable with records (medical bills, funeral invoices, wage documentation, benefits, and other measurable losses)
- How contested the case is (insurance often values cases based on litigation risk)
In Hutto, it’s common for families to have incomplete early information—witnesses may be hard to reach, dashcam footage can disappear, and early statements may be based on limited reports. An AI calculator can’t flag those gaps or explain how they impact negotiation leverage.
