Depew residents frequently navigate the same patterns: stop-and-go traffic, merging lanes, distracted driving, and high-volume roadway conditions. When a fatal crash occurs, families are often trying to answer urgent questions—"What will this cover?" "How long will it take?"—and AI tools may respond with a broad range.
The problem is that AI estimates typically cannot account for details that New York cases often turn on, such as:
- What the crash reconstruction shows (speed, braking, lane position, visibility)
- Whether witness statements line up with physical evidence
- How medical records document causation—how the injuries led to death
- What insurance coverage exists and which policy limits apply
A “range” from a tool can’t evaluate whether the defense will argue that the death was caused by something other than the incident, or whether liability is disputed.
