Most online tools assume a “typical” case. Las Vegas cases frequently don’t feel typical because the facts can hinge on items that AI can’t reliably model:
- How the incident actually happened (what witnesses saw, what reports say, what video or telemetry exists)
- Whether the fatal injury was caused by the defendant’s conduct—or by intervening factors
- What records survive (medical timelines, employer documentation, scene information, and insurance communications)
- How fault is likely to be contested based on New Mexico standards and the credibility of evidence
Even the best calculator is limited to what you type in. If key facts are missing—or if an assumption is wrong—the “range” can move dramatically.
