AI calculators typically work from generalized inputs: age, relationship, medical costs, and a few incident details. But in real cases—particularly those tied to traffic patterns, roadway conditions, and common commuting routes in North Jersey—the biggest swing factors are usually not captured by a calculator.
For example:
- Causation disputes: defenses may argue the death resulted from an unrelated medical condition or an intervening factor.
- Fault allocation: multiple parties can be involved (drivers, maintenance contractors, employers, property owners), and New Jersey claims can hinge on how responsibility is supported.
- Insurance handling: adjusters don’t negotiate “average outcomes.” They negotiate based on how strong your evidence is and whether they expect litigation.
An automated estimate can’t review police reports, obtain missing records, evaluate witness credibility, or pressure-test medical causation.
