Most AI tools are built to work from limited inputs. They can’t see the evidence that typically drives outcomes in the Madison area, such as:
- Crash/incident documentation gathered soon after the event (including officer reports and scene notes)
- Causation details that require reconstruction or expert interpretation
- Timeline issues (for example, when complications develop after the initial injury)
- Insurance and settlement posture—which often changes once a claim is properly developed
Even if an AI tool produces a number, it usually can’t account for disputes we frequently see in serious injury-to-death cases: competing accounts of what happened, missing records, or arguments that the death was caused by something other than the defendant’s conduct.
