Cocoa sits at the intersection of fast-moving commuting routes, frequent roadway merges, and high-visibility travel corridors. In fatal cases, liability often turns on details that automated tools can’t interpret—such as:
- what the traffic patterns looked like at the time of the crash (and whether a driver could reasonably stop or yield)
- how quickly witnesses noticed the incident and what they actually observed
- whether maintenance issues, roadway markings, or work-zone conditions played a role
- whether multiple parties share fault (for example, drivers, employers, or contractors)
When those factors are unclear, a calculator’s “range” can be wildly misleading. It may also cause families to make decisions before key evidence is preserved.
