Many online calculators ask for basic facts (age, relationship, income history) and then generate a “range.” That can be a starting point for questions, not a prediction.
Local fatal crash cases often turn on details that an AI tool can’t evaluate, such as:
- Whether the driver was impaired or distracted and what documentation supports that
- Brake, speed, lane, and visibility conditions at the time of the collision
- Commercial vehicle involvement (including maintenance and training practices)
- Conflicts in reporting between witnesses, police statements, and early medical timelines
In other words, two families may both enter similar numbers into a calculator—but if one case has clear liability evidence and the other doesn’t, the settlement posture can be dramatically different.
