Many AI calculators work by comparing your inputs (injury type, time off, body part, treatment history) to patterns they’ve learned from other cases. That’s why the first output can feel “close.”
In Texas, though, the settlement number is heavily influenced by what the insurer believes your records prove—especially when there’s any uncertainty about:
- Causation (whether the work incident explains your condition)
- Impairment (what limits you have after treatment)
- Work capacity (what you can actually do under restrictions)
- Documentation consistency (what your providers wrote, and when)
A calculator can’t review the evidence your carrier will cite in negotiations. It can’t weigh credibility the way a lawyer can. And it can’t predict whether your claim will be resolved smoothly or handled as a contested matter.
