Many Greer workers are employed in environments where schedules change, tasks are physically demanding, and returning to “modified duty” can be complicated. When that happens, two claims that look similar on the surface often diverge quickly:
- Different documentation quality. Medical notes that clearly describe restrictions, functional limits, and progress (or lack of progress) carry far more weight than an AI estimate can account for.
- Different work-impact proof. If your wage loss or inability to perform key job duties isn’t tied to specific restrictions and dates, insurers may argue the impact was temporary.
- Different dispute patterns. South Carolina insurers may contest causation, the severity of impairment, or whether restrictions are consistent with the medical findings.
So while a calculator may produce a number, the settlement outcome is usually driven by what the evidence can support and how disputes are handled.
