AI tools generally work by matching your inputs (injury type, date, treatment, missed work) to patterns from other cases. That can sound helpful, particularly when you’re dealing with lost income and uncertainty.
In Ohio workers’ compensation, though, the insurer’s decision usually turns on things an AI calculator can’t fully “see,” such as:
- Whether your medical records clearly connect symptoms to the workplace event
- How consistently your restrictions are documented over time
- Whether the claim is progressing toward allowed conditions and recognized impairment
- What disputes arise (and how quickly) after the claim is filed
So the AI range may be directionally useful—but it shouldn’t be treated like a forecast of what Hilliard-area adjusters will ultimately accept.
