In smaller communities and regional workforces, people often share information fast—what someone else received, how long their claim took, and what seemed to “work.” When you’re under time pressure, it’s understandable to want an instant range.
An AI tool may ask for things like your diagnosis, injury date, treatment timeline, and time missed. Then it may generate a payout range based on patterns from other cases.
The problem: Missouri workers’ comp outcomes can hinge on details an AI cannot verify—such as:
- Whether your treating records clearly describe work limitations (not just symptoms)
- Whether there’s a consistent timeline between the incident and your medical findings
- Whether the insurer disputes causation or the extent of impairment
- Whether you reached maximum medical improvement before settlement talks
In other words, the calculator can’t review the paperwork that adjusters rely on, and it can’t predict how your file will be evaluated under Missouri’s process.
