AI tools typically work by taking your inputs—injury date, body part, treatment history, wage info, and missed work—and generating a range based on patterns. That can feel helpful when you’re trying to plan finances.
However, in Illinois workers’ compensation, the settlement discussion depends heavily on what the insurer can prove—or dispute—about:
- Whether the work incident caused the condition (especially if symptoms showed up later)
- How restrictions are documented by treating providers
- Whether maximum medical improvement (MMI) has been reached and what that means in your file
- Whether wage loss is supported through consistent payroll and benefit documentation
An AI estimate cannot review your actual charts, impairment findings, or the credibility of the evidence being used in your claim. It also can’t predict how an adjuster will respond to the specific arguments that show up in Illinois claim files.
