An AI settlement estimator usually works by taking the facts you type in—injury type, treatment timeline, time missed, and limitations—and comparing them to patterns from other cases.
That can be helpful for:
- reducing uncertainty while you gather medical records
- spotting what categories you may need to document more clearly
- preparing for conversations with a lawyer or for responding to an adjuster’s questions
But it can also create false confidence. In Colorado workers’ compensation, the insurer’s evaluation is tied to the evidence in the claim—medical opinions, work restrictions, wage history, and whether the insurer disputes causation or impairment. A calculator can’t reliably account for those case-specific factors.
