Online calculators typically work off broad patterns. But California workers’ comp claims don’t move on “average” facts—especially when there are disputes about:
- Whether symptoms align with the reported incident (common when injuries are noticed later during a commute or shift change)
- Whether treatment was timely and consistent (missed appointments due to transportation, scheduling, or work conflicts can become a target)
- How work restrictions match your actual job duties (logistics and service roles often have mixed physical demands)
- Whether wage loss is supported by pay documentation
In other words, the tool may generate a number, but it can’t verify the details insurers will scrutinize in your file.
