In our experience, UM disputes in the London area often involve one or more of these real-world complications:
- Common crash timing and traffic flow issues: Evening commuting and weekend traffic can make it harder to track down witnesses or preserve video before it’s overwritten.
- Hit-and-run or limited vehicle info: If you only have a partial plate, a vehicle description, or a short moment of footage from nearby cameras, insurers may push back on fault and coverage.
- Construction and lane changes: Road work can create confusion about lane placement and signals, and insurers sometimes argue the accident happened differently than the crash report suggests.
- Injury documentation gaps: When symptoms worsen after you return to daily life—especially for people who work physically—delayed reporting can be used to argue causation.
You don’t need to “prove everything” on your own. But you do need a strategy that anticipates how UM claims are challenged locally.
