Many AI tools generate a range based on injury type and timeframes. That can be useful for orientation, but it often misses the practical realities that affect settlement value in our area:
- Seasonal traffic and delivery patterns: In peak months, trucks may be operating under tighter schedules to meet tourism and retail demand.
- Road design and stopping distance: Route 6 corridors, local access roads, and changing lane configurations can complicate how fault is argued.
- Construction zones and shifting routes: Temporary signage, detours, and lane tapers can create disputed interpretations of “what the driver should have done.”
- Injury documentation timing: If treatment is delayed while symptoms are “managed,” insurers may argue the injuries are not tied to the crash.
That means a number from an online calculator may not reflect how Massachusetts adjusters evaluate causation, reasonableness of treatment, and comparative-fault arguments.
