Most AI calculators work by asking you to enter injury and loss categories (medical treatment, time missed from work, and sometimes pain and suffering). The output is typically a range, not a case value.
What’s missing in most AI tools:
- Illinois comparative fault analysis: If the insurer argues you contributed—even slightly—it can reduce recovery. A tool usually can’t predict how a claim will be assessed under Illinois fault rules.
- Trucking-specific evidence: Marion-area cases often involve records beyond the police report—driver logs, maintenance history, and company policies.
- Documentation quality: Two people with “similar injuries” can end up with very different settlement values based on how consistently treatment is documented.
A calculator may tell you what categories might matter, but it can’t confirm which categories will actually be accepted by the insurer in an Illinois trucking claim.
