Many AI calculators produce a range by using simplified categories—medical costs, lost income, and general estimates for pain and suffering. That can feel reassuring, but it often misses what local injury victims run into during claim handling:
- Illinois documentation expectations: insurers commonly look for consistent treatment timelines, objective findings, and records that connect symptoms to the crash.
- Causation disputes: in commuter-area crashes, insurers may argue the injury is temporary, pre-existing, or unrelated—especially if there’s a gap in treatment.
- Multiple responsible parties: truck claims frequently involve more than one entity (driver, trucking company, maintenance, and sometimes equipment or cargo-related parties). AI tools typically can’t measure how that liability picture will unfold.
A calculator can’t review your medical file, evaluate credibility issues, or anticipate defenses that show up in Illinois negotiations.
