A good AI settlement estimate can be useful if you’re trying to understand categories of losses that commonly show up in trucking claims, such as:
- Past medical costs (ER care, imaging, follow-up treatment)
- Ongoing treatment needs (therapy, specialists, medications)
- Lost income (time away from work and reduced earning ability)
- Property loss and related out-of-pocket expenses
- Non-economic impacts (pain, limitations, sleep disruption)
But the “AI number” should be treated like a rough map, not the destination. Adjusters may use different assumptions than the tool does—especially when liability is disputed or when trucking company defenses come into play.
