Many AI tools generate a range using simplified inputs: injury severity, treatment length, and reported losses. That can be a helpful starting point.
But settlement values in real trucking cases depend on factors AI can’t reliably “see,” including:
- Whether the crash involved a commute corridor where traffic patterns can affect fault arguments (speed, lane choice, braking distance, and visibility)
- How soon you sought treatment after the collision—especially when symptoms appear later
- What documentation exists for causation (ER notes, imaging, follow-up care, and consistent symptom reporting)
- Trucking-side defenses that are common in California: arguments about pre-existing conditions, gaps in treatment, or claims that the injury wasn’t caused by the crash
In short: an AI calculator might estimate a number, but it can’t evaluate whether your story can survive an adjuster’s scrutiny under California injury and evidence expectations.
