Many AI tools produce a single range after you enter a few facts. In practice, La Grande claims often turn on details that don’t fit neatly into a form, such as:
- Whether your symptoms match what the emergency team documented that day
- How quickly you followed up with care after the incident
- Whether work schedules, commuting demands, or safety-sensitive duties were affected
- How consistently symptoms were described to providers over time
In a smaller community, insurers may also scrutinize inconsistencies more closely—especially if there’s a gap between the accident and the first medical visit, or if treatment changes without explanation.
The goal isn’t to discourage you from using an AI estimate. The goal is to make sure you don’t treat the output like a promise.
