AI tools often look helpful because they produce ranges quickly. The problem is that they can’t reliably account for local case realities, such as:
- Delayed symptom reporting after a collision (common when people think they “just had whiplash” at first)
- Gaps in care caused by work schedules, travel distances, or difficulty getting follow-up appointments
- Comparative negligence arguments that can arise in multi-vehicle incidents on fast-moving routes or at intersections
- Documentation differences between emergency visits, primary care follow-ups, and any specialist testing
When the early medical story is incomplete, an AI estimate may sound confident while missing the most important legal proof.
