TBI symptoms can be delayed or misunderstood—headaches, dizziness, sleep disruption, memory gaps, and concentration problems may show up days after the incident. In practice, that means insurers frequently focus on two questions:
- When did symptoms begin relative to the accident?
- Was follow-up medical care consistent and reasonable?
For Lake Station residents, delays happen for familiar reasons: you’re trying to get back to work at shift schedules, you’re commuting long distances, or you assume “it’ll pass.” Unfortunately, gaps can give the defense an opening to argue the symptoms were caused by something else.
A calculator can’t fix that. What it can do is help you track what to gather so your medical record tells a clear story.
