In the Bay Area, it’s common for symptoms to shift—sometimes worsening after the initial day, sometimes improving and then returning with sleep disruption or stress. That’s why the most useful “calculator” is often the one that helps you build a timeline.
Before you rely on any AI range, gather:
- Exact incident date/time (and where it happened—parking lot, intersection, freeway merge, crosswalk area)
- First report of symptoms (ER/urgent care note, or even the first call to a provider)
- Follow-up visits (neurology, concussion clinic, primary care)
- Work and daily-life changes (missed shifts, reduced hours, difficulty concentrating)
California insurers frequently look for consistency between what you reported and what the medical record shows. An AI estimate can’t know whether your documentation will “connect the dots.” A lawyer can.
