In our experience handling cases across Pasco County, toxic exposure problems often surface through a few common local pathways:
- Construction and renovation dust: demo work, drywall cutting, older insulation, or improper containment during remodeling—especially in older homes and rental properties.
- Mold and moisture-related contamination: humidity spikes, water intrusion, and delayed remediation after leaks or flooding.
- Workplace exposure in industrial or service jobs: chemical cleaners, solvents, fuel-related fumes, or inadequate ventilation in garages, warehouses, and maintenance areas.
- Property maintenance and ventilation failures: HVAC malfunctions, filtration gaps, or remediation that doesn’t fully address the source.
These situations don’t always involve dramatic “incidents.” Sometimes the first warning is simply that symptoms started after a certain shift, after a contractor arrived, or after the air in a building “changed.”
