After a cancer or serious injury diagnosis, many people in the region jump straight to searching for answers online. That’s understandable—but the most important early step is preserving the information you’ll need later.
Start with two tracks:
- Medical track: follow your care plan and keep every report you receive (pathology, imaging, consultations, and treatment summaries).
- Exposure track: write down where and how talc-containing products were used in your home—who used them, approximate timeframes, and what brands were involved (even if you’re not 100% certain).
For Louisiana residents, timing matters. If you wait to gather records, it can become harder to reconstruct product use, and it may affect how quickly your claim can move.
