Modern hospitals increasingly use software for imaging workflows, clinical documentation, triage support, and surgical planning. In some cases, the word “AI” (or similar system references) may appear because:
- automated summaries were generated for operative or discharge notes
- imaging reports were produced or assisted by algorithmic tools
- a decision-support system influenced risk assessments or recommended next steps
- transcription or charting software created entries that don’t match what happened
None of that automatically proves negligence. But when the technology is part of your medical timeline, it can become central to the question insurers will ask: Was the care delivered with the appropriate level of verification and supervision?
