Residents in the southwest Chicago area often receive care across multiple facilities—urgent referrals, follow-ups, and imaging performed at different times and locations. That can make it harder to piece together a complete timeline.
Some common signs that AI may have influenced the care (or the documentation) include:
- Generated or templated charting that omits what you expected to see from the operative timeline
- Imaging reports that reference automated analysis, decision-support, or “machine-assisted” findings
- Clinical notes that contain details that don’t appear consistent with what the care team told you afterward
- Inconsistent timestamps between operative events, imaging, and follow-up instructions
Importantly: a technology reference doesn’t automatically prove negligence. But when the record suggests AI involvement, it can change what evidence must be requested and what experts should examine.
