You might not have been told that an automated tool was used. Later, you may notice terms such as AI-supported summaries, automated templates, decision-support outputs, or machine-assisted imaging interpretation referenced in your chart.
Those references can matter legally when they raise questions like:
- Did the clinical team verify the tool’s output before relying on it?
- Was the output used in a way that matched the patient’s facts and risk level?
- Are there gaps between what the record says and what occurred in the operating room or perioperative period?
- Do follow-up notes reflect timely recognition and correction of a problem?
Our job is to help you sort what is alarming from what is actually actionable—then build a case around the parts that can be proven.
