Many people in the Atlanta metro area are seeing references to automated workflows in their charts—especially in high-volume hospitals and specialty centers. In a surgical case, “AI-assisted” may show up as:
- Generated or auto-populated clinical summaries in the operative or after-visit notes
- Imaging interpretation support that influenced what the team did next
- Decision-support prompts tied to risk scores, triage, or post-op monitoring
- Documentation inconsistencies (what’s written vs. what actually happened)
None of that automatically proves wrongdoing. But if the chart seems to contain automated outputs that weren’t properly verified, a careful review may reveal safety gaps.
