In a smaller community, it’s common for patients and families to rely on quick answers: a follow-up appointment, a phone call, a discharge explanation, or “it’s just a known risk.” That pressure can be especially strong when you’re trying to get back to work, school, or caregiving.
But once the months pass, it can become harder to obtain complete electronic records—especially when AI-related systems are mentioned in notes, summaries, or imaging workflows. The sooner you start, the better your chances of understanding:
- what tools were used,
- what information they relied on,
- who reviewed/verified outputs, and
- whether the clinical team responded appropriately when something didn’t add up.
